A transition

Because the fruit in the little Roman store was so cheap I kind of automatically assumed it wasn’t organic – how else could it be so cheap? It’s probably a wrong thought, organic food doesn’t have to be more expensive.
Today we went to the store again. We asked if it was organic, and one of the employees answered: “of course it’s organic! Everything in this store is organic! Every grape, every pineapple, every orange and every tomato”.
So here it is. Organic fruit. And it’s cheaper than ‘normal’ fruit in the supermarket. It somehow gives me hope; it proves to me that it’s possible to make organic fruit cheaper, and that we’re really making that transition to a more organic way of life.
