So I’ll start with the shops. Where can you buy it? The easiest way to be sure if you can buy organic food is by going to the Carrefour. In this shop most fruits and vegetables can be bought organic and non-organic, and they also sell fruits and vegetables from Nature&More (http://natureandmore.com/). Of course organic products are also sold in other big supermarkets than the Carrefour, but most of those supermarkets are not international brands.
The second way you can easily buy organic food is by searching for the local organic store. In almost every town there’s a shop that sells only organic products, and if you ask local people they’ll be able to tell you where it is. For example, in France there’s a store called Naturalia, they sell organic products in all the big French cities.
So when is fruit qualified as organic food? Basically, organic food is food produced without using chemicals or pesticides. The easiest way to see if food in Europe is organic is by the European bio-marquer. European producers of organic food are obliged to put a sign of this marquer on their package material. A picture of this marquer can be found below.
